Laughing Earth Farm – Where Community, Conservation, and Good Food Grow Together
Nestled in the rolling hills of Cropseyville, Laughing Earth Farm is a place where history, sustainability, and community come together. This family-owned farm has been actively cultivated for more than 200 years and is permanently protected through a farmland conservation easement, ensuring that this remarkable property will remain productive farmland for generations to come.
Owned and operated by Zack and Annie Metzger, Laughing Earth Farm is committed to producing healthy, certified organic food while caring for the land that makes it all possible. Their farming philosophy centers on building healthy soil, protecting natural resources, and strengthening connections between farmers, food, and the community.
During the summer season, visitors will find an impressive selection of fresh, organically grown vegetables, herbs, flowers, eggs, pasture-raised chicken, pork, grass-fed beef, and locally produced honey. Their self-service farm store is open year-round, making it easy to enjoy local food whenever you need it. The farm also participates in the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market, bringing fresh products directly to shoppers each week.
Laughing Earth’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is another wonderful way to enjoy the harvest. Members receive a weekly share of seasonal produce while experiencing life on the farm, including access to a picking garden filled with herbs, flowers, and select vegetables. It’s a rewarding way to eat seasonally while supporting local agriculture.
Whether you’re shopping for fresh vegetables, stocking up on pasture-raised meats, or looking for a meaningful connection to local agriculture, Laughing Earth Farm offers a welcoming destination that celebrates the best of the Hudson Mohawk Region.
