A 57 Year Tradition at River Bend Christmas Tree Farm

Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, River Bend Christmas Tree Farm started in 1967 when Jim Carpenter’s, dad and grandfather decided to grow Christmas trees to save money for Jim’s college education.  Jim’s dad purchased another existing tree farm nearby which has expanded to what is the current farm located in Luzerne, NY.

Today the Carpenters predominantly grow Balsam and Fraser Fir, with Cannan and Concolor varieties as well.  They choose tree sources that are selected for strong branches and great smell and then plant and cultivate them.  It takes the Carpenters 9 years to grow a 7 to 8 foot tree.  River Bend is a traditional tree farm without a lot of frills and distractions.  The Carpenter family takes pride in growing trees that are hand trimmed and naturally shaped.  For more information, visit https://www.riverbendchristmastreefarm.com/.
