Grilled Peaches with Whipped Cream

4 peaches, ripe, but firm
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
Pinch ground cinnamon
8 ounces of heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar


For grilled peaches

  1. Preheat gas grill to medium-high heat on half the grill and low heat on other half.
  2. Cut peaches in half and remove pits.
  3. Brush the peach halves with olive oil.
  4. Place the peach halves on the grill cut side down over direct heat until they start to soften (4-5 minutes).
  5. Brush the peach halves tops with oil and turn over; then move to indirect heat on other side of grill and continue cooking for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Brush peach halves with honey and cinnamon.

Whipped Cream

  1. In large mixing bowl, whip cream with whisk attachment until stiff peaks are about to form. 
  2. Beat in vanilla and sugar until peaks form.  
  3. Top each peach half with whipped cream and drizzle with honey.
