Voorheesville Farmers' Market Celebrating 15 years

In 2008 the Voorheesville Farmers Market started with the mission to reach out to their community and form long lasting relationships and to also encourage the community to buy local produce and goods from small businesses.  Since their beginnings, the Voorheesville Farmers Market has grown and now includes eighteen vendors selling a variety of produce, meats, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, flowers, cheese, soaps, art and take-out food.  They also offer special activities for kids, music and weekly events.  Upcoming special events include custom turning, Adirondack kettle Corn, Car Fit, Pine Comes from the yard and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

With a great location on Main Street in Voorheesville, the farmers market attract locals who can walk to the market and also visitors who enjoy the small market experience.  This year the market is also raffling free gifts with support from the local businesses.  Items include gift baskets, gift certificates, coupons and much more.   The market is open every Wednesday 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.

“It’s a labor of love.  It’s a great community that makes me feel good because people like to come here, said Market Manager”, Dianne Luci.
